China is Pakistan's largest trading partner: Afridi

January 01, 2019: This was stated by Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Shah Faisal Afridi and Senior Vice President Ahmed Hasnain while addressing a meeting of the chamber in Lahore.

They emphasized upon the significant development strategy launched by the Chinese government with the intention of promoting economic co-operation among countries along the proposed Belt and Road railway routes.

President PCJCCI, Shah Faisal Afridi said China is playing an increasingly central role in the global economy and this is also reflected in Pakistan-China relations.

He said China is Pakistan's largest trading partner, with total volume exceeding 20 billion dollars.

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Vice President PCJCCI, Ahmed Hasnain said steps will be taken to resolve investment and trade facilitation issues to promote regional economic integration.
