Cement exports rise by 21 percent in FY19

July 22, 2019: The exports of cement from the country during the financial year 2018-19 witnessed an increase of 21.94 percent to $271.726 million, as compared to $222.841 million worth exports recorded in July-June (2017-18).

In terms of quantity, the cement exports witnessed an increase of 40.41 percent from 4.5 million metric tons last year to 6.4 million metric tons this year.

The cement exports in June 2019 were recorded at $11.556 million, against the exports of $16.315 million in June 2018, thus demonstrating a decline of 29.17 percent.

On a month-on-month basis, the exports witnessed a decrease of 32.22 percent in June 2019 as compared to $17.050 last month.
