Budget to be presented on May 24 as scheduled: Dr. Hafeez Shaikh

April 19, 2019 (MLN): Advisor on Finance, Dr. Hafeez Shaikh has said the Budget will be presented on May 24, as originally planned.

During a media talk in Islamabad, Dr. Hafeez said he has spoken to the secretary finance on budget preparation, as well as having directed for the preparation of a medium term strategy paper on revenue and expenditure which will be sent to the Cabinet by April 30

He further said that talks with the IMF will continue, but that he was looking to quicken the pace of the deliberation.

The Finance Advisor as said he will be meeting the Prime Minister soon.
