Bestway Cement to setup Brownfield plant on rising domestic demand

October 25, 2021 (MLN): In view of increasing demand for cement in the country, Bestway Cement Limited has decided to set up a Brownfield cement plant with a capacity of 7,200 tonnes of clinker per day at its Hattar site in District Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with 9 MW Waste Heat Recovery Plant.

To that end, the company has entered into an agreement with Sinoma International Engineering Co., Limited, PR China for EPC, the notice issued on Friday said.

The Company has also decided to set up a 6.4 MW off-grid solar power plant at the same site for which an agreement has been entered into with Reon Energy.

All necessary regulatory approvals and financial arrangements have been secured, the notice added.
