At-Tahur profit jumps 45% in 9MFY25

April 28, 2025 (MLN): At-Tahur Limited (PSX: PREMA) reported a 45.2% increase in net profit for the nine months ended March 31, 2025, reaching Rs343 million [EPS: Rs1.57], compared to Rs236m [EPS: Rs1.08] in the same period last year (SPLY).

During the period, the company's total revenue declined slightly by 1.5% to Rs7.65 billion from Rs7.77bn in SPLY.

Operating costs also dipped by 1.7% to Rs5.9bn. Despite the marginal decline in revenue, the gross margins were maintained due to controlled operating costs.

Administrative and general expenses increased by 3.6% to Rs248.6m, while selling and marketing expenses rose by 4.4% to Rs458.1m. Other operating expenses also inched up 1.8% to Rs550.9m.

Meanwhile, other income of the company fell by 12.1% to Rs498.4m during the period under review.

The company's finance cost improved significantly, falling by 27.2% to Rs158.2m, providing support to the bottom line.

On the tax front, the company incurred a higher taxation expense of Rs16.2m compared to Rs3.5m in SPLY, reflecting an increase of 360.9%.
