ASL announces dividends for ASLPS and ASLCPS of Rs52mn and Rs0.2mn

October 28, 2022 (MLN): Aisha Steel Mills (ASL) board on Friday approved a cumulative dividend for the year ended Jun’22 on cumulative preference shares ASLPS and ASLCPS, approximately amounting to Rs52 million and Rs0.2mn respectively, the company’s filings on the stock exchange showed on Friday.

In the filing, the board decides that every ordinary share of the company having a face value of Rs10 per share shall be distributed as a preferential dividend against every Rs10 of the dividend accrued on ASLPS for the year ended Jun’22 to the respective preference shareholders ASLPS.

Furthermore, 2.285 ordinary shares of the Company having a face value of Rs10per share shall be distributed as a preferential dividend against every Rs10 of the dividend accrued on ASLCPS for the year ended Jun’22.

“Cash dividends for the year ended Jun’22 shall be paid as preferential dividends to those preference shareholders ASLCPS who have not converted the preference shares ASLCPS into Ordinary Shares ASL up to the book closure date for entitlement of dividend”, the report added.
