Arrival, clearance of GCIL's crucial machinery boosts ASU plant progress

December 05, 2023 (MLN): The import portion of the Plant and Machinery of the Ghani Chemical Industries Limited (PSX: GCIL)'s fifth 275TPD ASU plant for manufacturing Medical and industrial Gases at Hattar Special Economic Zone has arrived, unloaded and customs cleared, the company's filing on PSX showed today.

In addition to the above, the company is also in the process for setup of import substitute Calcium Carbide manufacturing project at Hattar Special Economic Zone.

Hopefully, this project will save millions of dollars and shall also open the doors for earning foreign exchange for the country.

Both the above projects are planned to be in operation during 1st quarter of calendar year 2024.
