APNIC to launch networking training for telecom operators

October 22, 2024 (MLN): APNIC (Asia Pacific Network Information Center) plans to initiate a training program on networking for telecom operators in Pakistan, the CEO of APNIC stated during a meeting today with the Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

Matters of mutual interest and relating to capacity building of telecom operators were discussed in the meeting.

Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham Khan was also present in the meeting. CEO Asia Pacific Network Information Center briefed Minister of State for IT about working of APNIC.

Minister of State for IT said that technical training is vital for the capacity building of the telecom operators.

The meeting agreed to forge a comprehensive plan for the training of telecom operators.

Member IT, MoITT Muhammad Jahanzeb Rahim also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Ambassador to Germany Saqlain Syedah called on Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication.

Matters regarding relations between Pakistan and Germany in the field of IT and Telecommunication, and facilitation of Pakistani IT companies in Germany were discussed in the meeting.

Member International Coordination (IC) Imad Memon and DG IC Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi were also present in the meeting.
