Afghan Economic Commission to visit Pakistan

17 September, 2018 (MLN): Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, along with Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, is to visit Pakistan next month, said Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi after his discussion with key members of the Government of Afghanistan over the weekend.

The minister said that his visit to Kabul was ‘very advantageous’ as it helped clear ‘clouds of fear’ that have been haunting the relations between the two countries for much time now.

Stressing on the need to expand economic ties with the neighbor nation, the minister informed that the Afghan Economic Commission would be visiting Pakistan next month when the next round of talks between the two countries will be held and if the two countries are to expand their economic ties, a joint commission would have to constituted.

“Our challenges are identical and we have to deal with them through mutual cooperation,” he said.
