AATM reveals progress on 1,000 kW solar power initiative

May 14, 2025 (MLN): Ali Asghar Textile Mills Limited (PSX: AATM) has revealed that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fazal Solar Energy (Private) Limited, has entered the execution phase for the development of a 1,000 kW solar power project.

This disclosure aligns with the information provided in the company’s Annual Report for the year ended June 30, 2024, and the Directors' Report for the quarter ending March 31, 2025, regarding the company's renewable energy initiative.

The majority of the equipment for the project has already been delivered to the site, with installation activities currently underway, the notification issued to the local bourse.

The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the project has been awarded to DSG Energy, one of Pakistan’s leading solar EPC contractors.

According to the contractual timeline, the project is expected to be commissioned by July 30, 2025.

Upon successful commissioning, the total installed solar power capacity at the site will increase to 1,250 kW, including the already operational 250 kW plant.

This initiative is expected to positively contribute to the company's profitability and provide a diversified, sustainable source of revenue.

The project will utilize Trina Solar 710 kW panels, known for their industry-leading irradiance efficiency and power output per square foot.

Additionally, the project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 912 metric tons of CO2 annually, which is equivalent to the environmental impact of planting about 41,222 trees.

This disclosure aims to ensure transparency and keep market participants informed, in accordance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework.
