August 08, 2025 (MLN): Workers’ remittances to Pakistan continued their upward trajectory, rising by 7.36% YoY in July 2025 to $3.21 billion, compared to $2.99bn in July 2024, according to the latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
However, on a month-on-month basis, remittance inflows slightly declined from $3.41bn in June 2025, reflecting typical seasonal fluctuations after Eid-related highs.
The strong start to FY26 came on the heels of a record-breaking FY25, during which Pakistan received a total of $38.3bn in workers' remittances, marking a significant 26.5% increase from $30.25bn in FY24. The surge signals improved formal channel flows, policy incentives, and economic stabilization efforts encouraging overseas Pakistanis to remit through legal channels.
