U. S. A. leads as top export destination for Pakistan in Jan

February 17, 2026 (MLN): The U. S. A. remained the top export destination for Pakistan during January, with $512.6 million worth of shipments, down by 6.4% against the exports of $547.75m in same period last year.
According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, this was followed by China, as Pakistan exported goods worth $251.05m to the country as compared to the exports of $194m recorded during the same month of the previous year, depicting a rise of 29.4%.
U. K. was the third on the list as Pakistan generated export revenue worth $176.02m from the country. This figure was up by 1.5% from the exports of $173.46m in the same period last year.
U. A. E. Dubai was the fourth in line as exports to the region during the aforementioned period were $165.95m, depicting an increase of 2.1% YoY.
Among other countries, Pakistan's exports to the Spain stood at $126.4m, marking a drop of 4.4% YoY, while exports to Germany decreased by 21.4% YoY to $125.98m.
Moreover, the export receipts received from Netherlands (Holland) stood at $118.63m, down by 14.4% YoY.
While on a sequential basis, the total exports to U. S. A. dropped by 4.6% MoM. While exports to China increased by 7.7% MoM.
Moreover, receipts received from exports to U. K. depicted a decline of 8.1% MoM.
Meanwhile, cumulatively, in 7MFY27, U. S. A. was the top source of export receipts, worth $3.69bn as against the total exports worth $3.57bn in 7MFY26.
Whereas, total exports to China in 7MFY27 stood at $1.47bn, registering a decline of -1%.
Cumulatively, U. K. ranked as the third-largest contributor to the country's export earnings, accounting for exports valued at $1.27bn in 7MFY27, compared to $1.27bn in the same period last year
