July 06, 2026 (MLN): Electric vehicle maker Tesla reported global deliveries of 480,126 vehicles during the second quarter of 2026, marked a 25% year-on-year increase compared with 384,122 units delivered in the corresponding period last year.

According to the company's quarterly production and delivery update released on July 2, Tesla manufactured 451,758 vehicles during the April–June quarter.

The performance was primarily driven by its best-selling Model 3 and Model Y, which together accounted for 467,762 deliveries and 442,936 vehicles produced during the period, according to APP.

Meanwhile, Tesla's other vehicle models contributed 12,364 deliveries and 8,822 units of production in the second quarter.

Beyond its automotive business, the company deployed 13.5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy storage products during the quarter, showing continued growth in its energy segment.

Tesla cautioned that quarterly vehicle deliveries and energy storage deployments should not be viewed as direct indicators of financial performance, noting that revenue and profitability are also influenced by factors including average selling prices, production costs, product mix, and foreign exchange fluctuations.

The company is scheduled to announce its complete second-quarter 2026 financial results after the close of U.S. markets on July 22, followed by a live webcast and question-and-answer session with management to discuss its financial performance, operational results, and business outlook.

Earlier this year, Tesla regained the lead in global battery electric vehicle deliveries during the first quarter of 2026, surpassing Chinese rival BYD.
