Sitara Chemical posts near double profit surge in 2025

February 27, 2026 (MLN): Sitara Chemical Industries Limited (PSX: SITC) declared a remarkable recovery in its financial performance for the year ended December 31, 2025, posting a net profit of Rs724.78m, up 98.60% from Rs364.95m in the previous year.

Earnings per share (EPS) for 2025 stood at Rs33.82, compared to Rs17.03 in 2024, showing a 98.59% increase.

The company recorded net revenue of Rs15.69bn, slightly lower than Rs15.89bn in 2024, marked a marginal decline of 1.28%.

However, cost of sales decreased by 5.24% to Rs12.66bn, resulting in a significant improvement in gross profit, which surged 19.66% to Rs3.03bn.

Distribution costs rose sharply by 47.65% to Rs379.01m, while administrative expenses increased modestly by 7.90% to Rs644.63m.

Other expenses more than doubled, climbing 115.12% to Rs244.27m.

Sitara Chemical benefited from lower finance costs, which declined 39.93% to Rs686.37m. The company posted other income of Rs126.59m, down 24.40% from the previous year.

Operating performance was strong, with profit before income tax and final tax more than doubling to Rs1.20bn, up 104.49%.

After accounting for a provision for taxation of Rs472.74m, profit after taxation rose to Rs724.78m, nearly doubling from 2024 levels.
