Service Group bets $80m on passenger car tyre manufacturing

February 16, 2026 (MLN): Service Long March Tyres Limited (SLM), an associated company of Service Global Footwear Limited (PSX: SGFL) and Service Industries Limited (PSX: SRVI), has approved an $80 million investment to establish a Passenger Car Radial (PCR) tyre manufacturing facility in Nooriabad, Sindh.

The project, the companies told the Pakistan Stock Exchange, will serve both domestic and export markets.

The initiative represents a strategic diversification for the Service Group, historically focused on footwear and industrial rubber products, into Pakistan’s automotive component sector.

The move could strengthen local production capacity, reduce dependence on imported tyres, and position the company to tap rising domestic car sales and export demand in regional markets.

SLM plans to leverage its existing infrastructure in Nooriabad, optimizing production efficiency and supply chain integration.

With global tyre demand projected to remain robust, the project could provide a new revenue stream and support Pakistan’s broader industrial growth agenda.
