Sapphire Fibres seeks stake in FESCO privatisation

August 07, 2026 (MLN): Sapphire Fibres Limited (PSX: SFL) has secured the Request for Statement of Qualification (RSOQ) issued by the Privatisation Commission for the divestment of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) through privatisation.

The company's Board of Directors approved participation in the transaction. The proposed participation remains subject to pre-qualification by the Privatisation Commission and the required corporate and regulatory approvals.

Sapphire Fibres said it may form a consortium once the approval is granted and will keep the Pakistan Stock Exchange updated on any material developments.

The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to Exchange.
