December 24, 2025 (MLN): In a notable development at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX: HRPL), Sajida Sagarwala has acquired a significant 11.98% stake in Habib Rice Products Limited.

The acquisition, totaling 4,790,000 voting shares, was executed on December 15, 2025, through a gift from her father, Gaffar A. Habib.

Prior to this transaction, Sajida Sagarwala did not hold any shares in the company, according to the company's statement issued today.

With this acquisition, her total shareholding in Habib Rice Products now stands at 4,790,000 shares, representing nearly 12% of the company’s total issued voting shares.

The transaction is being reported as required by regulatory authorities but does not trigger any additional obligations.

No persons acted in concert with the acquirer, and there is currently no representation on the company’s Board of Directors associated with this shareholding.

This move underscores continued investor interest in Pakistan’s rice processing sector and is being closely watched by market participants for potential strategic implications.
