SIFC approves Machike-Thallian-Tarru Jabba White Oil Pipeline

June 23, 2026 (MLN): The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has approved the Machike–Thallian–Tarru Jabba White Oil Pipeline (WOP), establishing a critical south-to-north corridor for white oil transportation across the country and marking a significant step toward modernizing Pakistan's energy infrastructure.

The strategic project is expected to bring wide-ranging improvements to the country's fuel supply chain.

By shifting white oil transportation away from road-based logistics, the pipeline will help reduce transportation costs and minimize fuel losses that are typically associated with conventional delivery methods, according to SIFC’s post on X.

Beyond operational efficiencies, the project is anticipated to enhance Pakistan's overall energy security by ensuring a more reliable and uninterrupted flow of petroleum products across regions.

It is also expected to generate employment opportunities during both construction and operational phases, while reinforcing investor confidence in the country's energy sector.

SIFC, which continues to play a central role in facilitating large-scale investment and enabling key infrastructure development, said the approval reflects its broader mandate to strengthen Pakistan's business ecosystem and drive economic growth through strategic project facilitation.
