SHC suspends orders challenged by K-Electric in tariff appeals

October 08, 2026 (MLN): The Sindh High Court (SHC) at Karachi has passed ad-interim orders suspending the impugned notifications and orders challenged by K-Electric Limited (PSX: KEL) in its tariff appeals matter, according to a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The orders were issued on October 07, 2026, following the company's challenge before the SHC.

K-Electric challenged the judgments passed by the NEPRA Appellate Tribunal, all dated September 23, 2026, in respect of the company's tariff appeals. It also challenged NEPRA's Review Determinations, all dated October 20, 2025, along with subsequent notifications issued by NEPRA dated September 23, 2026, and the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) dated September 27, 2026.

The latest development is in continuation of the company's earlier disclosure dated September 24, 2026.
