SCRA ends week above Rs36bn

January 08, 2026 (MLN): The SCRA balance increased by Rs.6.926 billion during the week ending Jan 02, 2026 to close at Rs.36.3bn.

According to data published by the SBP, the week marked a net selling of securities to the tune of Rs.664.61 million.

During the week SCRA received a total inflow of Rs.17.4bn through remittances, sale of securities and dividends. Inward remittances amount was Rs.9.967bn, sale of securities were recorded at Rs.7.43bn while dividend received was Rs.6.03m.

Total outflows from SCRA through outward remittances, purchase of securities and taxes were recorded at Rs.10.48bn. Outward remittances were Rs.1.996bn, total securities purchased amounted to Rs.6.766bn and total tax paid was Rs.1.714bn.

Market value of investments made in Equity, T-Bills and PIBS changed by Rs.11.69bn, Rs.-3.171bn and Rs.43.29m to close at Rs.767.42bn, Rs.65.062bn and Rs.29.956bn.
