SCRA balance jumps Rs10bn

January 16, 2026 (MLN): The SCRA balance increased by Rs10.34 billion during the week ending Jan 09, 2026 to close at Rs46.67bn.
According to data published by the SBP, the week marked a
net buying of securities to the tune of Rs11.91bn.
During the week SCRA received a total inflow of Rs49.01bn
through remittances, sale of securities and dividends.
Inward remittances amount was Rs31.39bn, sale of securities was
recorded at Rs17.61bn while dividend received was Rs3.57million.
Total outflows from SCRA through outward remittances,
purchase of securities and taxes were recorded at Rs38.67bn.
Outward remittances were Rs8.81bn, total securities
purchased amounted to Rs29.52bn and total tax paid was Rs344.62m.
Market value of investments made in Equity, T-Bills and PIBS
changed by Rs25.28bn, Rs26.50bn and Rs231.48m to close at Rs792.71bn, Rs91.56bn
and Rs30.19bn.
