SCRA balance falls, net buying hits Rs8.96bn

July 23, 2026 (MLN): The SCRA balance decreased by Rs556.50m during the week ending Jul 17, 2026 to close at Rs 27.37billion.

According to data published by the SBP, the week marked a net buying of securities to the tune of Rs8.96bn.

During the week SCRA received a total inflow of Rs40.61bn through remittances, sale of securities and dividends.

Inward remittances amount was Rs17.25bn, sale of securities were recorded at Rs23.23bn while dividend received was Rs128.56m.

Total outflows from SCRA through outward remittances, purchase of securities and taxes were recorded at Rs41.17bn.

Outward remittances were Rs8.78bn, total securities purchased amounted to Rs32.19bn and total tax paid was Rs196.10m.

Market value of investments made in Equity, T-Bills and PIBS changed by Rs-11.85bn, Rs-825.56m and Rs7.67bn to close at Rs606.722bn, Rs89.85bn and Rs43.52bn.
