SBP to remain closed on Feb 5 for Kashmir Day

February 03, 2026 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed on Thursday, February 5, 2026, on account of Kashmir Day, as stated by the Government of Pakistan.

According to a circular issued by SBP to the Presidents and Chief Executives of all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs), SBP will observe the public holiday.

Banking operations will resume as normal on the next working day, 6th February 2026.

Kashmir Day is observed annually across Pakistan to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
