SBP to remain closed on August 14 for Independence Day

August 11, 2026 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed on Friday, August 14, 2026, on account of Independence Day, a national holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan.

The PSX will suspend trading operations on the day and resume trading on the next working day. The SBP will also remain closed, with regular operations resuming after the holiday.

The closures are being observed to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day.
