SBP reserves up $13m in a week

January 29, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $13.4m week-on-week (WoW) to $16.101bn during the week ended January 23, 2026, data released by the State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total liquid foreign reserves stood at $21.293bn.

The net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were recorded at $5.192bn.

During the week under review, the country's total liquid foreign reserves rose by $35m, with and commercial banks' reserves rising by $22m.
