SBP reserves rise to $14.44bn in a week

October 16, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $20.7 million or 0.14% WoW to $14.44 billion during the week ended on October 10, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $0.1m or 0.00% WoW to $19.81bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $20.6m or 0.38% WoW to $5.37bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $5.38bn or 59.31%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $2.73bn or 23.31%.
