SBP reserves rise to $16.16bn

February 06, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $56.1 million or 0.35% WoW to $16.16 billion during the week ended on January 30, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $45.4m or 0.21% WoW to $21.34bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $10.7m or 0.21% WoW to $5.18bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $7.09bn or 78.25%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $242.1m or 1.52%.
