SBP reserves rise to $11.72bn in a week

June 19, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $46.3 million or 0.40% WoW to $11.72 billion during the week ended on June 13, 2025, data released by the State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $129.5m or 0.77% WoW to $17bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $83.2m or 1.60% WoW to $5.28bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.33bn or 24.84%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $11.4m or 0.1%.

The Central Bank also released its monthly data for May, reporting a robust gain of $1.24bn, which brought total holdings to $11.52 billion, up from $10.27bn in April 2025.
