SBP reserves rise by $23m

May 07, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $22.8 million or 0.14% WoW to $15.85 billion during the week ended on April 30, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $24.5m or 0.12% WoW to $21.29bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $1.7m or 0.03% WoW to $5.44bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $1.35bn or 8.51%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $205.04m or -1.29%.
