SBP reserves rise $19m to $17bn

September 04, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $19.3 million or 0.11% WoW to $17.12 billion during the week ended on August 28, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

On the other hand, the country's total reserves decreased by $59.5m or 0.26% WoW to $22.53bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $78.8m or 1.44% WoW to $5.41bn.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $1.1bn or 6.51%.
