SBP FX reserves jump nearly $2bn to $18.47bn

July 10, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $1.94 billion or 11.76% WoW to $18.47 billion during the week ended on July 03, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

The increase in SBP’s FX reserves is due to realization of GoP inflows.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $1.94bn or 8.82% WoW to $23.99bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $0.3m or 0.01% WoW to $5.52bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $3.97bn or 27.37%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $2.41bn or 14.93%.
