SBP reserves rise $15m to $21bn

October 08, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $14.5 million or 0.07% WoW to $21.45 billion during the week ended on October 02, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $26.5m or 0.10% WoW to $26.8bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $12m or 0.23% WoW to $5.34bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.98bn or 16.15%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $5.40bn or 33.49%.
