SBP reserves fall $69m to $14.5bn

July 25, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) decreased by $72.4 million or 0.50% WoW to $14.46 billion during the week ended on July 18, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves decreased by $3.48bn or 14.88% WoW to $19.92bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks rose by $31.9m or 0.59% WoW to $5.46bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $5.39bn or 59.49%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $2.75bn or 23.45%.
