SBP, PSX to remain closed on May 1

April 28, 2026 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed on Friday, May 1, 2026, in observance of Labour Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.

According to an official notification issued by SBP to all banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Microfinance Banks (MFBs), all banking operations will remain suspended on the public holiday.

PSX also confirmed that trading activities will remain closed for the day.

Normal banking and market operations will resume on the next working day.
