SBP, PSX cut working hours for Ramadan

February 18, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s financial regulators have issued revised working and trading hours for the holy month of Ramadan, compressing operations across the banking and capital markets in line with customary seasonal adjustments.

The State Bank of Pakistan said banks, development finance institutions and microfinance banks will observe shortened office hours, with reduced public dealing windows. Normal timings will automatically resume after Ramadan.

The exchange said the revised timetable will remain in force only during Ramadan and will revert to standard timings afterward, in coordination with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and other market infrastructure institutions.
