Rafhan Maize sees increase in half-year profit

August 28, 2025 (MLN): Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited (PSX: RMPL) posted a net profit of Rs3.87 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2025, reflecting a 4.2% increase from Rs3.71bn in the same period last year.

The company declared an interim cash dividend of Rs100 per share, equivalent to 1,000%, in addition to the first interim dividend of Rs100 per share already paid.

Revenue rose 8.6% to Rs36.53bn compared to Rs33.63bn in the corresponding period of 2024, while cost of sales increased 8% to Rs28.87bn.

As a result, gross profit stood at Rs7.67bn, up 11.2% year-on-year.

Distribution expenses climbed 26.4% to Rs558.38 million, and administrative expenses rose 7.8% to Rs806.84m.

Other income improved 5.4% to Rs890.45m, while other expenses grew 22.1% to Rs501.9m.

Operating profit reached Rs6.69bn, showing an increase of 9% from Rs6.14bn last year.

Finance costs inched up 3.9% to Rs369.5m.

Profit before income tax came in at Rs6.31bn, compared to Rs5.64bn last year, marking an 11.9% growth.

After accounting for taxation of Rs2.44bn, which rose 26.7% year-on-year, profit after tax settled at Rs3.87bn.

Earnings per share (EPS) for the half year stood at Rs418.57, up from Rs401.72 in the same period last year, showing a growth of 4.2%.
