RDA attracts $259m inflows in August

September 11, 2026 (MLN): Total inflows into Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) during August 2026 stood at $259 million, bringing cumulative inflows into RDA to $13.91 billion.

Compared to the previous month's inflow of $282m, August inflows declined by $23m.

However, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the amount repatriated and locally utilized during the month stood at $175m, resulting in a $84m increase in the Net Repatriable Liability (NRL) of RDA during August.

Of this, $12m was repatriated, while $164m was utilized locally.

Total cumulative repatriation and local utilization stood at $10.90bn, comprising $2.13bn repatriated and $8.77bn locally utilized, taking the Net Repatriable Liability (NRL) to $3.01bn, equivalent to 21.64% of total RDA inflows.

The breakup of NRL shows $716m invested in Conventional Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs), while $1.33bn was invested in Islamic NPCs. Equity investments stood at $155m, balances in accounts at $729m, and other liabilities at $78 million.

Total inflows during the current financial year stood at $541m, compared to $349m during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, total repatriation and local utilization during the current financial year amounted to $368m, compared to $287m during the corresponding period last year.

During August, 9,354 new accounts were opened, taking the total number of RDA accounts to 966,144.

The highest monthly inflow into RDA was recorded in April 2026, when $321m was received.

The highest monthly repatriation and local utilization from RDA was recorded in July 2022, when the NRL of RDA declined by $330m.
