QatarEnergy suspends downstream operations

March 03, 2026 (MLN): QatarEnergy has declared that it will stop the production of some downstream products in the State of Qatar.

In a statement posted on X, the company said: “Further to the decision by QatarEnergy to stop production of LNG and associated products, QatarEnergy is stopping the production of some downstream products in the State of Qatar, including urea, polymers, methanol, aluminum and other products.”

The declaration follows reports that two of its installations were targeted in northern Qatar earlier this week.
