Punjab unveils Green Property Certificate

July 08, 2026 (MLN): The Punjab government has introduced the Green Property Certificate at the Land Record Center in Alipur, Muzaffargarh, as part of its ongoing land record reforms aimed at improving transparency and strengthening property ownership verification.

The launch attracted a large number of citizens to the Land Record Center, where applicants sought to obtain the newly introduced certificate, indicating strong public interest in the initiative, according to APP.

The Green Property Certificate is intended to provide secure ownership documentation, improve the authenticity of land records, and reduce the risk of fraud in property transactions.

To facilitate the growing number of applicants, the Land Record Center established dedicated service counters to ensure the certificate issuance process remained smooth and efficient.

Residents appreciated the initiative, viewing it as an important step towards a modern, digitized, and transparent land record management system that is expected to enhance trust and confidence in property transactions across Punjab.
