Petrol price rises 77 paisa, diesel drops Rs1.03

August 31, 2026 (MLN): The Ministry of Energy
(Petroleum Division) has revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products,
raising the price of Motor Spirit (petrol) by Rs0.77 per litre while reducing
the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs1.03 per litre, effective September
1, 2026.
Based on the revised petroleum pricing mechanism issued by
the Federal Government, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised
the ex-depot prices of petroleum products for September 1, 2026, as per the
following details.
Under the prevailing mechanism, OGRA computes and notifies
petroleum prices on a daily basis.
