Pakistan-KSA ties gain momentum with focus on energy, minerals

January 30, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, with a focus on expanding cooperation in the energy and minerals sectors and enhancing economic partnership between the two countries.

In this regard, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik met with Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan.

The meeting reviewed ongoing collaboration and explored new avenues for mutually beneficial investment, particularly in the fields of energy and mineral development, according to a press release issued.

Both sides underscored the importance of deepening economic and strategic ties, agreeing to work closely to promote sustainable development, technology exchange, and increased investment.

The Saudi ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s active participation in the recently held Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh and emphasized continued engagement to advance cooperation in the minerals sector.

The federal minister congratulated the Kingdom on the successful organization of the forum, noting that it provides valuable opportunities for regional collaboration.

He highlighted the vast potential for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to further strengthen cooperation in both the energy and minerals domains.

Expressing confidence in the longstanding brotherly relations between the two countries, both sides agreed to maintain close coordination to translate shared commitments into tangible outcomes in the coming period.
