Pakistan again nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

October 14, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan has once again nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize at the Sharm El Sheikh Summit in Egypt.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated it during a joint press conference with President Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, calling the development “a great moment in contemporary history.”

Shehbaz Sharif praised President Trump’s “untiring efforts” in achieving peace, saying, “President Trump relentlessly worked day in and day out throughout these months to make this world a place to live with peace and prosperity.”

The Prime Minister recalled that Pakistan had earlier nominated the US President for the Nobel Peace Prize after his successful mediation of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan in May this year, which prevented a potentially catastrophic nuclear conflict.

“Had it not been for this gentleman, no one would have lived to tell what happened in South Asia,” he said. “Today, after this historic agreement for peace in Gaza, Pakistan once again nominates him for the Nobel as he has once again saved millions of lives.”

Shehbaz Sharif also lauded world and Arab leaders who played their part in facilitating the peace process, expressing hope that the Gaza agreement would open a new chapter of stability, cooperation, and prosperity in the region.
