Pakistan positions IT sector for global growth

April 9, 2026 (MLN):  Pakistan is strengthening its global IT footprint with an expanded presence at one of Asia’s leading technology exhibitions, signaling growing confidence in its digital exports and international partnerships.

The country’s participation reflects a broader push to position its IT sector as a reliable global partner in software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, fintech, and enterprise solutions, according to a press release issued.

With increasing experience in serving international clients, Pakistani firms are focusing not just on visibility, but on building long-term, sustainable business relationships particularly in advanced markets like Japan, where demand for digital transformation and efficiency-driven solutions continues to rise.

The development was highlighted at the Pakistan Pavilion during Japan IT Week Spring 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight, which was inaugurated on April 8, 2026, by Abdul Hameed, Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan.

The pavilion, featuring 12 Pakistani IT companies, was organized with the support of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and Pakistan Software Export Board, in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency.
