Pakistan joins Global Gaza Peace charter

January 23, 2026 (MLN): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other world leaders formally signed the Gaza Board of Peace charter during a ceremony held in Davos on Thursday.

The initiative is a significant effort led by U.S. President Donald Trump to help resolve global conflicts, according to Radio Pakistan.

Countries signing the charter alongside Pakistan included Bahrain, Morocco, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Paraguay, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also attended the ceremony, where Pakistan’s political and military leadership drew attention from global leaders.

President Trump specifically acknowledged Field Marshal Munir and welcomed him with a smile.
