October 21, 2025 (MLN): In a significant move to position Pakistan as a key player in the global critical minerals market and energy transition, the country's top energy official has arrived in Sydney for the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC 2025), running from October 21-23.

The visit marks Pakistan's strategic push to unlock new frontiers for international partnerships in mining, exploration, and sustainable energy development, with a packed agenda of high-level bilateral meetings and a keynote address that will outline the nation's vision for leveraging its vast mineral wealth.

Ali Pervaiz Malik, Minister for Energy (Petroleum Division), was received at Sydney by High Commissioner Irfan Shaukat alongside senior Pakistani diplomatic officials, emphasizing the importance of Pakistan's participation in Asia-Pacific's largest mining event.
