July 15, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their longstanding fraternal ties and expanding cooperation across various sectors amid sustained high-level diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

Pakistan's Ambassador to Iran, Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, and Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Iran, Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi, exchanged views on regional and bilateral developments during talks held at Pakistan House in Tehran on Wednesday.

The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and explored avenues to deepen cooperation, while underscoring the importance of maintaining close coordination between the two brotherly countries.

Both ambassadors also reiterated their shared commitment to enhancing collaboration across diverse fields and further advancing the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The discussions come as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continue to intensify engagement on regional and economic cooperation.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, where both sides reviewed recent regional developments following the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), stressed the importance of continued dialogue to promote regional stability, and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation.

The Saudi envoy also appreciated Pakistan's role in promoting regional peace and security, including its engagement through the R-4 mechanism.

Separately, Pakistan has invited Saudi Arabia's Energy Working Group to visit the country to explore investment opportunities in power transmission infrastructure, digitalization, and smart utility technologies.

During recent energy-sector talks in Riyadh, Pakistan showcased investment opportunities in the power sector, outlined its reform agenda focused on digital transformation and improved governance, and assured full government support for Saudi investors, reflecting the growing momentum in bilateral economic cooperation.
