Pakistan, Saudi Arabia sign visa waiver pact for official passport holders

September 22, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement to waive visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official or special passports, aimed at facilitating official travel and strengthening bilateral engagement.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly session, according to APP.

Ishaq Dar, who is accompanying Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the UN session, said the agreement would facilitate high-level contacts and institutional exchanges between the two countries.

He added that the development would further strengthen the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and support cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
