August 28, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to deepen economic and agricultural cooperation, with a Pakistani delegation of agricultural experts set to visit Riyadh shortly to advance discussions on unlocking the full potential of the bilateral partnership.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said the recently signed Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan had drawn the three countries closer together and sent a message of unity and peace across the region, adding that as strategic partners, Pakistan and the Kingdom must now channel their energies into strengthening trade and investment ties, according to a press release issued.

The remarks came as Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, called on the Prime Minister at the Prime Minister's House in Islamabad.
