Pakistan General Insurance gets SECP nod to launch Window Takaful operations

July 24, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited (PSX:PKGI) has secured regulatory clearance from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan to operate as a Window Takaful Operator, paving the way for the insurer to roll out Shariah-compliant general takaful products across all classes of non-life insurance business.

The company said the authorization was granted under Rule 9 of the Takaful Rules, 2012.

Management termed the development a key step in the company's growth strategy, noting that it broadens the firm's product portfolio beyond conventional insurance. Window Takaful operations will be launched in line with the applicable regulatory framework.

The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to Exchange.
