Pakistan, China sign mango trade MoUs

July 03, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan China Silk Road Mango Festival 2026 has opened new avenues for agricultural cooperation, with two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed to promote bilateral mango trade and improve logistics between Pakistan and China.

According to a post shared on X, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, said the festival highlighted the strength of Pakistan’s agricultural sector while creating fresh opportunities for fruit and mango trade cooperation between the two countries.

The agreements were signed between China Ole High End Super Market and Tianjin Midtrans International Co. and between Hainan Jiao Long Technology Co. and RIC Nexus. The MoUs focus on expanding collaboration in mango trade and logistics, according to APP.

The ambassador said the agreements would create a win-win outcome for Pakistani mango growers and exporters as well as Chinese trading companies by improving market access and strengthening logistics for Pakistan’s premium mango exports.

He added that the initiatives would promote agricultural exchanges, expand bilateral agricultural trade, and further deepen the growing economic partnership between Pakistan and China.

The Pakistan–China Silk Road Mango Festival serves as a platform to showcase Pakistan’s world-renowned mangoes in the Chinese market, facilitate business-to-business collaboration, and strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
